Vintage Glamour

There are so many styles that can be created with vintage china; garden party, afternoon tea, Alice in Wonderland, retro or just quirky. Although all of these look lovely, we do feel extra excitement when a bride tells us they are having a vintage glamour themed wedding as this means pearls, diamonds, amazing dresses and bold hairstyles.

Amazing flower displays can be created using vintage glass cake stands, cups and saucers, teapots or tureens. The detail on the stands is so much more interesting than standard flower vases.
Whenever we receive an enquiry for a vintage wedding in Essex we recommend Claire Sankey from Lily & May. We first met Claire at a wedding fair in 2009 and have been working with her ever since. She totally gets the vintage look and knows our china items well. We often hold client consultations together so we can all agree on the flowers and tableware at the same time.

Traditional tableplan or picture frames?

Traditional large tableplans can be very expensive to buy or extremely time consuming to make yourself. There is also the added factor of last minute cancellations! If you are paying someone to make your tableplan, there will be a deadline date by which the names will have to be submitted. Imagine if a day or two before the wedding, some of your guests can't make it and you have to rethink your table seating plan. This happened to a friend of ours who phoned us for advice as she had already paid for her table plan and was having a major panic. We solved the problem by lending her our vintage inspired picture frames. She used one per table and was able to print off the inserts the day before her wedding.

Here are some examples of how our picture frames have been used in weddings...

Ed and Nikki Hockey used one per table to display their menus. This is an excellent idea as it acts as a table decoration while being functional.
James and Jane used the frames as their tableplan. They were both very creative and had an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. To read a full blog on their wedding click here rockmywedding blog.

Our frames have also been used at a corporate party to display the names of cakes and at a salon opening to display the cocktail menu. If you would like to see our frames or discuss usage ideas then contact us at info@vintage-flair.co.uk or submit an enquiry via our 'Contact us' page
